Position: Database Administrator / Data Analyst
Location: North Brunswick, NJ and Piscataway, NJ and other client’s location
Work with technical team to analyze, design, programming, develop, testing/QA, deployment, integration, migration and administration of client-server database systems and applications; work with internal and external customers to develop new value-added programs and data solutions with existing databases; participate in daily and/or weekly database systems/application architecture design reviews to consider changes to be made, identification of errors and changes to be applied to ensure that the new architecture confirms to the technical and functional requirements that have been specified; participate in meetings to identify database systems CPU capacity issues and limitations, analyze and determine database information needs and elements, data relationships and attributes, data flow and storage requirements, data output and reporting capabilities; research and evaluate alternatives and recommend solutions for business issues; develop data models and perform planning of database architecture, functions, modules, recovery, standards and implementation; maintain and develop data models, structures, and procedures to ensure the integrity and performance of database components; design and implement database object within Oracle databases (12c/11g/10g); write complex database programs using SQL* Plus, PL/SQL; monitor program execution for expected performance; modify, install, and prepare technical documentation for database system and software applications; create ad-hoc reports utilizing various data sources; monitor systems capacity and performance, plan and execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide Tier 2 technical support; monitor data load batch jobs using data files from various downstream systems; customize purchased applications and assist in maintaining program libraries and technical manuals; collect pertinent data points and prepare white papers on application behavior; identify, escalate and document production issues for the environment to confirmed delivery for client and business notification; troubleshooting and system maintenance, backup and disaster recovery, utilizing skills in SQL* Plus, PL/SQL , MQ Series, WebSphere, DevOps, JIRA, STASH, GIT, DB2, SAS, ETL, Oracle databases (12c/11g/10g).
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology/MIS, or a related discipline or equivalent qualifications.
