Position: Software Developer / Test Engineer / QA Analyst
Location: N. Brunswick, NJ & San Antonio, Texas
Work with other development team members, participating and contributing to Systems/applications requirement analysis and specifications meetings/discussions and Quality assurance planning/strategy meetings.
Primarily responsible for testing, quality assurance, configuration management and implementation tasks including - work with the business functions to document test outcomes by collecting, tracking, analyzing, interpreting, summarizing and displaying defects through a defect tracking tool such as Rally; Perform end to end system/applications testing - Functional and Product testing; Perform UI/UX front end testing, performance testing; Perform smoke testing to ensure stability.
Perform complete and rigorous regression runs and Ad hoc testing prior to prod deployment; Create and manage test data for QA test cycles/scripts; Work with QA leadership, QA peers, and other development teams to drive test execution and defect resolution to completion; Design, develop and implement Automated Unit Testing using Visual Studio 2013 and Unit Testing frameworks such as NUnit and QTP; Design, development and implement Test Plans and Test Cases; Provide estimates for Test Activities; Participate in Test execution (manual and automation) and Defect management using Quality Center Manage Test Cycles for Sanity Testing, System Testing, Product Testing and User Acceptance Testing; Verifications and validations of application test data using SQL Queries; Develop and apply revisions designs to software codes and scripts to correct any defects identified, then apply updates/upgrades to the system during system configuration throughout the production life cycle of the Project; Create and execute SQL queries - to verify and validate back-end data to ensure quality; to look-up and understand business rules; Create project/application documentation and test metrics/reports; Communicate to stakeholders and management on any potential impact to schedule/delivery due to outages, critical defects; Provide support for Production implementation and ensure delivery with highest quality; Perform User Acceptance testing (UAT), if required to sign-off deliverables prior implementation; Assist business teams on UAT; Communicate test efforts to QA management and report status; self and peer review test cases/scripts to eliminate gaps and improve traceability to requirements. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science/IS or related fields and 2 years of related software/systems development, testing and QA experiences.
